  I’m not even sure I can explain this in a way that doesn’t make me sound like an idiot. Long story short, my HTC A9 that runs an Android OS updated to Android 7.0. After that update a lot of apps that I use on the regular started to not function correctly. I did my due diligence and removed them and reinstalled them, cleared the phone cache, reset any external routers or hardware that I may have been trying to use and also called and spoke with Sprint Tech Support on the phone. They attempted a few things with the phone and also could not succeed with fixing the issue. They stated that I should take the phone into the Sprint Store located in the mall. They stated the technician would be able to assist me further. I went into the Sprint Store and waited patiently for the next associate to free up. Once she did she asked if I had been helped so I told her no. I explained what was going on with the phone and that I was instructed to come here. I also explained what we had already tried and that none of those items worked. I asked to speak with the tech on staff. She responded with “We fired our tech 2 weeks ago and won’t be hiring another one so you can’t speak with him.” I said Okay and asked her how she would like to proceed. She stated that since she couldn’t fix my phone that she could sell me a new one and that would solve the issue. I politely responded with “I’m not interested in a new phone as this one worked fine before it updated so that was not an option.” She stated that she couldn’t help me then so I would need to go elsewhere. I asked her where I could go that still had a tech on staff and she told me she didn’t know. I asked if she could look it up or call someone to find out as I had taken time out of my day to come in to have this looked at. This is where this got interesting. Other than being rude and impersonal, she clearly had no idea what she was talking about. She stated, “You should go to the APPLE STORE.” In disbelief of what I just heard and thinking maybe she thought my phone was an IPhone since it looks similar while in the case I have I asked her, “You would like me to take my HTC A9 that runs and Android Operating System to the Apple Store?” She replied with “Uh Yeaaahh” and looked at me like I had three heads. I repeated the question 2 more times and explained that I doubted that the Apple Store was going to look at my phone that not only wasn’t and Apple Product but also did not run on MAC OS. She stated “well, they have techs there and they can help you.” I was shocked. Seriously, does Sprint care about customer service? What about employee knowledge? How about training their sales staff? Not one of the other 2 staff corrected her during this entire process. Just to make sure I wasn’t dumb I stopped by the Apple Store on my way out and asked the first salesman I found if they could help and why I was even asking. He politely told me they couldn’t help like I suspected and they we continued laughing at the expense of the sales rep at Sprint. I wanted to post this here to warn other people that they should seriously just consider another store or even another provider if they are thinking about going here for any type of service.
